Tools: Domestic Compulsions

This series of objects, text and videos, continues explorations started a couple of years ago ("On the Domestic.") A compulsion, understood as a strong urge to do something, incorporates and repeats actions from daily domestic life, in an art- studio sense.

The living space became laborious, characterized by an extreme need to care and make. It was an era of domesticity and excessive productivity.

Caring and domestic labor was perceived as a disadvantagement to the advancement in society and development in professional fields; therefore the need to work harder.
